Emeraude Cruises launched the Emeraude on December16, 2003, the first ever luxury cruise ship designed as a directinspiration from the past in Vietnam. Holiday-makers on Emeraude willcruise around scenic, memorable and beautiful Halong Bay.

French owner, Eric Merlin, accidentallydiscovered the existence of a magnificent fleet of four single-wheeledpaddle steamers-Emeraude, Perle, Saphir and Rubis, operating in Halongand other parts of Vietnam from 1906 to 1945 from a black and whitepostcard he bought in France!

Highlight: Boating, cave visiting, and cultural experience

Day 1: Hanoi - Halong (L/D)

12.00- 13.00: Upon arrival at the port, a warm welcome by Emeraude staff andthen board the shuttle boat for a short transfer (approximately 5minutes) to the Emeraude. Welcome cocktail and check in on board theEmeraude.
13.00 – 18.30 The Emeraude cruises through HalongBay passing by some of the most scenic locations including Yen Ngua,Con Coc Mountains and a floating village.
A Vietnamese buffet lunch is served between 13.00 and 14.30 in the Emeraude restaurant
Thereis an optional guided visit to Sungsot Grotto (Grotto of Surprises),weather and tide permitting. Option of afternoon tea with pastries onthe sundeck or in the restaurant and an aperitif before dinner.
18.30: Arrive at Hang Luon lake for overnight on board.
19.00 - 21.00: Vietnamese buffet dinner is servedin the Emeraude dinning room, BBQ on the Sundeck. Accommodation andovernight on board the Emeraude at Hang Luon lake, Halong Bay.

Day 2: Emeraude Cruise - Halong Bay - Hanoi (B)

06.00: Tai Chi Class.
07.00: The Emeraude sets sail once again through the breathtaking scenery of Halong Bay heading for Halong Public Port.
07.00 – 09.00: European buffet breakfast is served in the Emeraude restaurant.
08.30 - 09.45: Check out of cabin.
09.45 - 10.00: Transfer by shuttle boat back to Halong Public Port. End of Services.
